What is “autarky,” anyway? Is it like Tofurkey? Nope! It’s even less common, and less commonly understood or discussed.
AUTARKY is national self-reliance. It means that we mine our own soil for rare earths to power electric car batteries, rather than buy them from China. It means that we raise rabbits to eat in the U.S., rather than buy them frozen from China. It means that semiconductors for our world-class microchips are manufactured in the U.S., where we have physical control of them, rather than in Taiwan, off the coast of China.
Are you seeing a pattern here?
It means that we invest in our own labor force, instead of hiring software developers from India, fruit pickers from South America, physicians from Jamaica, or auto assembly workers from Mexico.
It means that we could actually build a wall and stop illegal immigration-colonization of our lands and culture, because the business lobby would actually have to use eVerify!
Autarky means a lot of things, and an AUTARKY t-shirt will mean that people at parties, church, or on the street will give you queer looks, and the conscientious among them will feel a little shame at their ignorance and either ask you, “Hey man, what’s autarky?” or else go home and dig out a dictionary.
Up your vocabulary and your political game at the same time. Encourage your friends to do the same. Globalism and free trade are an apocalypse for national identity. Let’s have AUTARKY NOW!
